Here's a 25 minute sunshade for the SHIELD tablet. To be sanded and painted but it should work ok. What did we ever do without superglue?

Well done. I made mine from a sunshade I ordered from eBay. I had to make a lot of mods...and did a ton of cutting down.

At least it doesn't have to await approval from the app store.

That's pretty awesome Dave E! What material did you make it out of? Do you have any plans you could share?

Nice and cheap ($15). Should barely fit. Might be a little tight. I should have it on Wednesday and I can check back and let ya'll know how it goes.

I measured the Shield Tablet today. It's about 21.5 CM wide.

jbienz Its made from 3mm thick foamex (brand name) and stuck together with super glue. I will try to do a plan with sizes on it. It is quite light at 238g

That cinematics one looks good. Thats another thing for my Santa list!

I made a couple from some thin black foamcore. I'm on version 3 at the moment. Trying to get the length right to minimise the reflections.

I would be interested in the size as well. If your on ver 3 how do you like it? Can you give us an idea of your sizes on that model or your next one I wouldn't mind making one before the weekend gets here

Hi Guys.
Hers is a layout plan with sizes. I haven't tested it properly yet but it seems to work in the house. It is sized to give a few mm gap around the SHIELD tablet for ease of access. I intend to keep mine in with velcro tape. I hope it works for you.

Further to the above, If you do use super glue please make sure it is fully cured before inserting your tablet. I would suggest overnight for this otherwise you may end up with white marks on the tablet from the super glue fumes!!!

In the product dimension the wideness is 20cm and the shield is 22cm wide. Does this hood fit well?
