Hi DJI Support,

Any planned future support for Zenmuse X5S/X4S working with Lightbridge 2 +A3 flight controller system on S900/S1000/M600 spreading wings platforms?

Current Spreading Wings users with the A3/LB2 have been using the M600 X Mount kit for the X3/X5 and XT, so it stands to reason that compatibility would have to coinside with a new mount for the M600 to support the X5S/X4S.

I see same reason with you that DJI should easily make this compatibility possible. Thanks for responding.

Is there an anymore info on this Jamie? would be great to have the option to mount the X4S/X5S with the A3 & LB2

HI Jamie, can you please confirm this is coming? our clients wont' buy a drone using the old camera when the phantom has a better camera than the A3 N3 with LB2 does

There is no information at this time. A X5 or X5R would still be a viable option for high end filming.

Thanks but this is for mapping, and X5 is 16mp only and heavy.

Without the X4S it pretty much makes A3 / N3 / M600 paper weights.

I am here bumping this and hopeful that one day we get support for the X4S cameras.

Yes, PLEASE add support for A3, LB2 with X4S / X5S. DJI is killing us here. Why DJI put their premiere mapping camera on their craft with the least flight time is hard to understand.
Also, DJI needs to put out stand alone FW upgrades for their gimbal systems to be compatible with A3 / N3 on custom crafts. No way to have proper FW installed on a custom craft as the only camera updates are for DJI specific craft models. Currently, I have to go find someone with an Inspire 1 just to upgrade my X3/Z3 cameras to work with my custom craft that uses A3, LB2, and X3, X3, XT PL.

I'm curious too.  I'm really getting a lot of great content from the X5s camera on the Inspire 2.  A bit off topic, but I'm also curious how it might integrate with a future version of the OSMO

I guess the answer is to no longer buy DJI products because they will be obsolete by design on the release of a new product.  What DJI customers are requesting is easily done. I myself have an s1000 with A2 flight controller and a S1000+ with A3 Pro flight controller.    This is a significant investment to just throw away.

DJI lack of response and support for loyal customers is a disgrace.

The connector for the Z-30 is the same as the mentioned cameras. I just confirmed this with a colleague. However, I am still working on a capture solution for the X4S, using the Z-30 mounting kit as the X4S does not have SD card slot on board. So all that is needed to close this gap is a capture solution for the X4S when using it on a copter that is NOT an Inspire 2....

I would really like to fly with an X4S and/or X7 on a m600  but i afraid it will never happen. How hard would  it be to integrate the cinecore into a an universal adapterplate? We would buy the  X4S and X7 without any hesitation. Investing in a camera as the X7 would be much more interesting/profitable knowing DJI is taking compatibility serious.

I have mounted the x5s on the s1000+ using the z30 mount made for matrice 600. It powers on and does its start up dance but in the app it says my gimbal is disconnected. I have to solder the x30 into a xt60 adapter so I could get power. Im thinking that i may have my wiring wrong. I will upload a vid and pics here in a minute.

I bought the x5s under the assumption that it would work with the s1000+ because everywhere on dji.com I read said the mounts, gimbals, etc were compatible with the x5 series, I think that is totally misleading and they should state the x5s is not compatible. ITs only when you do a deeper look that you see it says x5 and x5r. 2,000$ camera that is usless at this point

For mapping purposes there is no reason you can't fly a Canon/Nikon/Panasonic or even Hassy on the M600.
Would have thought these would be preferred options over DJI's X5s..

No it doesn't have one on the gimbal or camera. Im thinking the only way to use the x5s on another platform is to wait for dji to make an adapter with an on board image processing chip since the x5s doesn't have it built in but rather the inspire 2 does, which is the only drone it can be used on at this point
