Hi! My name is Jan and I’m fairly new to the Drone community and I am looking to start this hobby in the most safe and responsible manner as to not ruin it for all hobbyists.

It’s going to be my first time bringing my drone overseas. I have a trip coming up the end of the year starting in Japan (with a layover in Bangkok), then going to the Philippines, and finally ending in Singapore.

Has anyone experienced any trouble getting through the airport in any of these countries especially in Japan? I don’t plan on using the drone in Tokyo since there are so many restrictions, but I really do plan on taking some shots in some rural areas and mountains of the Philippines.

I’ve purchased some Lipo bags for my batteries and I know I’m not supposed to check in the equipment so I’m going to be placing them inside my backpack which will be by my side at all times.

Any tips and information that will lead me to smooth passage through these countries will be greatly appreciated.

Hi I took my P4 on holiday this year, first i would check with your airline! They didn't have a problem with my p4 but i thought i would check first! the airport never even opened my massive p4 drone bag i guess your taking the mavic? as this is half the size i doubt this will be a problem at all?

i took it to ibiza in the summer got some brillant pictures

It Was no problem at all not in Austria not in China not in Tokyo!!

Only putt everything in your Carry On Luggage !!

Thanks brother! Did you fly in Tokyo? If so, which spots? I heard the laws were very strict in Tokyo so I might not even try haha.

No - no Problem at all!!  The Police is very Friendly so far ;-) i am standing on a roof and from there on it is very nice to fly!!!

Made myself a Antenna Booster out of Foil - it worked very well!!

To bring Drone in Japan is no problem.

The law is strict, especially in Tokyo and Osaka.
Even in the park, drone is not prohibited. Stupid.

Officially we need to have permission to fly drone.

Some overseas models are illegal either.

I am currently in Osaka.
We go country side of Kyoto, Kobe to fly drone.
