Nope. Which considering the DJI / Apple tie up is somewhat embarrassing, was going to get an iPad mini 4 but I might just go Android because of it.

Ha, I just got a new iPad Pro.

Its just for P4Pro, Mavic, and Inspire 2

So now I get to have 2 DJI apps that are close to 100mb in size.

UPDATE: just opened the app and the dropdown for devices does have the regular Phantom 4. Not sure why that's not included in the app description. It doesn't actually have Inspire 2,but that'll probably be there once it's released.

It doesn't say, Ill wait for the DJI rep to clear that up. We have been waiting for a new app to give us some of the features that are on the Mavic. I use an Ipad pro anyway so Ill just have to wait.

It shows the Phantom 4 Pro, Phantom 4, and Mavic Pro.  So yes will work on the regular Phantom 4!  

I'm not getting it in Google Play on the phone yet in USA.  I can type in in manually in the laptop and get the link, but the phone won't go there.  Maybe because the old app is in the phone already and Google Play Store recognizes it's there until they get their act together for the update to be pushed for the pre-loaded phone?

I love this update stuff!

I'm in Missouri, and it came up just fine for me.  Downloaded it and ready to use on 12/1 when my P4P+ arrives!  

So does this mean P4P should now be shipping out from DJI dealers?

I had my order placed on hold by DJI dealer because supposedly DJI had told them not to ship anything until the App was released.

Weird.  With my Samsung S6 phone, I turned the phone off, then back on.  Google Play still shows 3.1.0(9) and still no auto-update?

Then I went into the app store and there is a DJI Go 4 (v4.0.0(74)) buried way down in there for download (The older version also there says "Installed.").  Why it doesn't update to version 4 automatically I don't know.  Downloaded, and I now have TWO versions like someone else said above: One says "DJI GO," and the other says "DJI GO 4."   Wonder if this will be the same double version installed for iOS version update, or will Apple App Store do it right?

I did notice 4 asks to turn off Wi-Fi too on opening screen.

Now to decide which to use, and go ahead and delete 3.1.0.(9)?

If you have any Phantoms older than the 4 or if you have an Osmo, you will still need the regular DJI GO app.

Delete the old DJI GO app.  Perhaps you had it set to default to THAT app versus the new one?  If you still need the DJI GO app, re-download it later.  Try just using DJI GO 4 ONLY and see it you connect.

Any advantages compared with the old app for P4 use?

Since I don't use the editors there is nothing in the what's new list that looks useful, so it might be better to let others test it properly before installing...

I've not seen anything new for the P4 as yet. I probably won't get a chance to fly it for a few days. Nothing stopping you having both loaded and remove whichever you decide not to use.
The front page has been tidied up a bit.

Just noticed some pixilation on the Nexus 7 II, it has now cleared, localised interference or problem ?

Reason for android 1st is the DJI P4P screen is android, so android 1st from now on

This is absurd, I have a P4 Pro that I just got and I was ready to fly and now I see that iPad is not supported. I am so disappointed... I don't have an Android device so right now I have a P4 Pro and don't have a way to fly it.

I'm sure that the iOS version is just waiting on release to Apple's App store. Otherwise, can't the P4P be flown with the earlier version , even if you must just say it's a P4 to GO?

It won' let you fly with the previous DJI Go app. I borrowed an Android Tablet from a friend and flew this afternoon. I had a paying job and no way to fly... imagine my frustration... But in the end I was able to do my job.

I thought that the days of needing to own both android and iOS where over... but I guess they are not.

Wow. The new 4.0 still uses the antique low res Here maps on my android just like the old 3.1. Unbelievable. Non for me thanks.

Yep. I have to assume that it costs DJI nothing to use the Here maps (I understand that Google would be charging DJI where daily requests exceed 25,000 per day - a request is any new map data request including panning and rotation).

To the android users, I'd be interested in hearing if this new version has any effect on the 'green video noise' issues which many have reported, including me. I'd rather not downgrade my RC, and currently just using my iPad as the iOS version displays fine.

I am very happy they are using different versions of the Go App.  This will end the bloating.

I am also very excited to test the "Near Real Time HD transmission" on my P4!!
Hopefully, I may fly with confidence again and I won't have to use Custom Channel 4mbps to reduce lag.

Hi All

So back when i got my P4 a few weeks ago i tried using a nexus7 11 and had nothing but trouble. I was only able to get around 100m max away before losing video. I tried all the recommend things but nothing would work. Had lots of help from members on here too.

I decided to go out and buy a Ipad mini 2 and have had alot more success with that and now able to reach up to around 1km with no problems.

Today i thought i would dig out the nexus 7 and also my s6 and install the latest app.

Both devices were not even able to get me 5m up without losing video. i tried to go further and around 30m and lost video completely. it was the same on both devices and i tried in airplane mode too.

Seems the app might need some work

I cannot find it on google Play.
