Is followme working again?

Updated without any problems, formated the micro sd card with SDFormatter before downloading the bin file onto it never had a problem useing this software,update took about 15 mins and batteries updated very quickly. Settings still remain , new warning about loose or missing props, now showing latest firmware and app, flys great and no problems with video transmision, useing ipad4 mini with latest software, Hawk

Just reformat the card and put the new firmware back on , then put it back in the drone and start up , you will get the load beeping while its updates , it will eventually go off when it is updated but may take a while.
You only get the really load beeping when you end the update process early so don`t worry it will stop in the end.

I updated my drone with #1 battery successfully to 1.10.90 but when I changed to #2 battery and was going to update it but it didn't process, I then checked the result on computer it says it was already updated for the #2 battery. That's unusual. Is it normal?

Also I noticed that there's no firmware update for the remote controller. I'll test to fly tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

i have test it now with the DJI Go App version 2.9.1 but it's not better only the live map is now from google and can be use offline but the video transmission is still very bad. Completly unusable the drone was only 20 - 30m away and still get a bad video stream on my tablet. so i have now contact the dji support and wait now for a answer for my problem.

Updated both my phantom 3 advances no problems lights on drones go out for a while video links on both seem good but not tested long distance using Ipad mini 2 settings the same in app. Grabo

The battery firmware dos not show in about, does it? I guess i have to go to battery menu on every battery to confirm if the battery update happened?

If your RC currently is running on 1.8.0 mean this is the latest version.....

Hello, after update to the newest version still cannot get firmware (aircraft/controller) information. I'm using Samsung Galaxy S4(GT-I9505) with 5.0.1Android, and app version is 3.1.0. Now I can connect with aircraft, but I have huge problem with video transmission. Picture is freezing, with long lag, not usable.

Yes it is - battery will need to be warmer than 15C to take-off/start ...

Check your settings - as sometimes they revert to default - like the settings for the video "Enable Hardware Decoding" - I have this ON - an "Video cache during shooting" - OFF

SD card errors... my cards all worked before the update..

Ran the update this morning, all went well and only took about 20 minutes. Updated the spare batteries, calibrated the IMU and took the P3P for a flight. No problems at all! As a matter of fact, I honestly think it's more stable now than it was with the prior update and all the compass errors I was getting

I updated 2 hours ago. No connection on my HTC M9 mobile anymore. Tried my Samsung tablet S2, no connection.
My chinese Teclast Tpad, no connection !!!
This is realy frustating. Checkt all prescribed settings, without results.

Is this update for the remotecontroller too ?

The latest firmware for Remote Controller is 1.8.0. Not included in package zip. You must update RC FW using DJI GO app.

As I know its a aircraft and camera-update
I discover that my controller ( connected to my HTC M9 Mobile ) recognises the Mavic device with
signal " Remote Controller signal Weak " . Not any drone is activated and connected !!!
I even have no Mavic drone , my neighbours ether.

    Very wise NOT to upgrade. I am having all sorts of problems...mainly won't turn on the motors and when you do cannot turn off. Flying a nightmare the drone will increase revs or decrease setting the aircraft up/down without control you really need to be on the sticks, won't hover as steady. DJi you better have a fix I cannot fly my quad. I had a message to calibrate  the sticks which I did but still no good. DJi where are you.

Issue resolved. In my case ( Samsung and HTC ) Mobile device settings must be : camera PTP ON ( and USB debugging ON ). MTP ON does not work.

and so we are learning every day.

Updated and test flew for a 5 mins. Everything looks good. No issues. Noticed, the bird when cold started had a small bit vibration on idle time-to-time as usual for my drone. When in air it is rock steady. After landing it is rock steady on idle as well, not even a tiny vibrations. All looks good. Then flew Mavic and it was good too. Honestly i like to fly both equally, P3A feels like it has more power to overcome gusts of head wind vs. Mavic (make me almost panic on return path due to the head wind).

No issues after the upgrade, achieved my normal distance, i'd say the video feed was actually more reliable, and I'd swear the motors sounded a bit softer.. not as jumpy... Overall have not seen any ill effects yet.

Could you please find the update log file and post it here?
You could find the update log file by following these steps:
1. Enable Viewing hidden files in your OS. Below are the websites where you can check how to show the hidden files in your PC.
For The Windows System:

2.Enter the root directory of the SD card, then find the hidden folder MISC and enter it. There is LOG folder in it.
3.The LOG txt file is under the LOG folder.

I didn't update the firmware but alas my DJI Go App did self-update to 3.1 (IOS)... is there a way to revert back to the old version app?

Go and read post #1, it is in the changes summary that comes with the firmware too.  See note 4.

Only if you have the old app saved , it should be on your itunes on your PC/Mac if you haven't updated that too . Just turn off auto updates and delete the new app and then install the old app from itunes . When itunes updates apps on your PC/Mac the old apps go in the recycle bin where you can recover them and save them somewhere save .

Will this firmware work with older Go App versions and older controller versions?

So I now have to keep my batteries in my pocket before I can swap them out instead of leaving them in the case.   Does DJI realize there are folks in the northern and southern hemispheres who actually have winter? I'm not sure why all of a sudden we now have a temperature check before we can take off when we've never had one before??  What changed since the P3 was introduced???

Short answer is yes..  Do a search for the "Charles method" here in the forums.  Not quick and easy but works.

There's a whole discussion solely on the Map issue Mindy and the switch for Android users from Google maps to maps that are incredibly back level.  Some people (apparently) purchased Litchi just to get google maps back.  Very hard to fly with very outdated mapping..
