I tried my Google Pixel when I first got my Mavic a few weeks back and it kept crashing as it is not a supported device. I switched over to my Samsung S5 which is supported but a little laggy.
Downloaded the new DJI Go 4 app today and after 3 flights can confirm it's stable. It used to crash all the time with version 3.
I've tested as many modes as I can.
Not too sure if the issue with the Pixel crashing has been 'fixed' or the new version has removed the issues previously experienced.
Would love to know if other users are seeing the same.

Flagship Android phone, running latest version 7.q, unaltered... I would sure hope it would work!

It astounds me that manufacturers seek to support the iPhone first, when there are 4x as many Android users than iOS.

Cause it's easier to test iOS version and push out. Even if the development time is similar, it's a nightmare for software tester/QA to check on every flavour of 4.xx to 7.xx plus lots of different hardware configuration. Said, a test plan is developed and required 1 week per OS version/device, compare Android to iOS, which platform testing will be concluded and fix earlier?

Go4 seems simpler, significantly smaller file size anyway

I definitely agree that DJI GO 4 is better with my Pixel XL.  I downloaded DJI GO 4 yesterday and it worked fine.  When I shut down the Maxic and started it again then my DJI GO 4 failed.  Once I re-started the Pixel XL DJI GO 4 worked fine.....I'm still not sure if that fault was human error or if it was a legit fault.  Either way, I agree because my DJI GO 3 didn't work at all when I tried to press the camera. Thanks DJI!.......and I'm sure a LOT of other Google Pixel folks are happy too!

Sorry, but I am confused ? The iOS version is 3.1 as of Nov 15, 2016. I do not see a version 4.0 of the DJI Go App. Is this a Android thing?

Android only at the moment. Apple are still approving the new app in their store. Might be a few more days / weeks before you see it

Thanks for the reply. I guess this will be a nice new App for all of the new products!
