There are settings in the GO app that let you change its functions. I think the defaults are zoom in, zoom out, gimbal forward/down, and portrait/landscape

I found the defaults on Page 9 of the User Manual; those defaults should be repeated in the "Remote Controller" section of the Manual.

Is there a way to adjust the speed? It moves the gimbal up and down way to fast. I can adjust the speed of the gimbal on the rotary switch on the bottom, but not the 5D

The 5d button isn't meant to control the gimbal other than to move it from straight forward to straight down which should be a fast move in my opinion. If you want a slow gimbal movement that's why you have a gimbal wheel that is adjustable.

That indeed seems to be the case.  Unfortunately the manual disagrees ....

(I spent ages yesterday trying to work out how my app got into Portrait mode ...)
