I wanted to try and shoot video with the osmo mobile and iphone 7 plus but use the 2X lens because it doesn't have stabilization.

Problem is, i could not find an app that uses that lens in video mod. Even the native camera app will simply use the 1X lens and will zoom in to 2X on it if you press the 2X button.

Did anyone manage to shoot video through the 2X lens?

You can use iMovie in the iPhone to edit out the first part where you changed it from 1x to 2x.

I don't want to edit anything. I want to use the zoom lens (2X) only to record video and there seem to be no way to actually doing that. The iPhone will use the 1X lens and will zoom in to 2X using that lens but will not switch to the other one in Video mode.

In photo mode you can manually change them.

Procam doesn't let you choose the lens in Video mode. It does in photo mode.
