Oops, seems I've been doing it wrong, looks like all photos should be taken looking vertically downwards...

I went out 2 days ago and took these:

No, I have not. I actually learned that saying in an awesome video, that has helped me learn more about the incredible Nikon D800, than in reading the manual.

It's an interesting thought though, but so true. ;-).

When I saw your forum handle, it brought back that statement, immediately

Got this on my homepage

"The word photography derives from the Greek φωτός (phōtos), genitive of φῶς (phōs),
"light" and γραφή (graphé)"representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning
"Drawing With Light" "

Hey, what an interesting coincidence, for me, to have already known this. If you watch the video, you can see where I picked that statement up. Apparently the fellow giving the camera owner the great instructions, learned it from his photography course teacher. That's pretty interesting to me, as a photographer since early teens, I have never considered the true meaning, until watching that video. Seeing your forum handle, brought me a smile. ;-)
I don't speak or read Latin or Greeek, but will certainly give your website a look. Thanks.

Enjoy the forum...
