Hi.

I have had my phantom for 4-5days and did about as many flights. I love it, no issues what i can see when flying. But it is my first real drone so what do i know.

Problem is i can not calibrate the IMU. I read about others who cant and have to send it back. Not to happy about that thought tho. I also read i should not calibrate it unless aircraft asks for it. But one day it might needed to.

What do you think? Is it a risk to fly with? Is there any chance there will be a firmware update that will fix this?

So your saying the IMU error -22 message IS hardware related????? And we should return our defective units???

Thanks but i would prefer keeping my drone and use it for a while and see what happens with other who have same problem. My drone is working fine so no panic for me. I hope it will be fixed with software update. Other mods said we should not do the calibration unless app asks for it and that is the road i will take for now.

It does not matter if it flies properly, and we've reported this case, our R&D engineers is working on it and will improve it soon.

there is unstable flight behavoir too.

i already had a chat about it... got a case... CAS-354089-S0W2N3

in an other thread i read, that someone got a replacement and there was no calibration error and no loud high frequency fan noise... that shows me, that this calibration problem is a hardware problem? Maybe cause the fan vibrations near to IMU1 that disturb the calibration?

You case is a "Consultation" rather than a RMA and replacement, that's why you cannot see the progress. Please do not worry about that. We've transferred the data provided to the engineers, will let you know the result.

no, just the fan, no props installed. it's a lot louder and has a higher frequence than the fan noise of the p4

Ah ok. I dont know about that as it is my first drone. But i was supriced it was so load on idle yes. Didnt even know there was a fan to cool it.

The only reason they are asking to send them back is because they want to figure out the error with units that are having the issue, We are just beta testers to DJI they always bring out products and spend more on advertisements rather than the development and the support at their company huh
