Hello everyone!
I just got my Phantom 3 Standard a few weeks ago and love it! This is my first large drone and I have not (thankfuly) had any problems with it. But today as I was packing up the P3S I snapped the controller antenna! The cord is still attached but the plastic is limp now. Not being a tech wiz I am not really wanting to buy a new antenna and install it myself, but I here sending it away for DJI repair takes over 6 weeks! Any advice or suggestions?

You could use tape, a hose or something temporarily. This might work well holding it up too.

My fear is those controllers could be had for about 100 bucks new. And the part that broke on yours is a 2 buck part. I am afraid that once you get the bill from DJI, you'll wish you just bought a new controller.

I'd just use some glue to hold it in position and then be extra careful how you handle it.  Might not look good, but it should work.

Maybe you could have a look at our recommended service center.  Hope this will help.

I think I might try that! Thanks BillW50!

Could you happen to provide a picture to see the extent of the damage?

Six weeks? I had mine out and back within two weeks. I'm in the US on the east coast. It had to go to the west coast.

I would, but being a newbie I do not know how!

The NA facility has not had long turnaround times like that for a while. At this time, it's about 1-2 weeks depending on the damage. When you hit 'reply' go to the 'Advanced' options for posting, you can upload a picture from there.

I have a Phantom 3 Adanced (18 months old) and have also just discovered the plastic connection between right hand antenna and remote controller is broken.  It looks as though the plastic has perished.  Is it possible to get spare antenna and reasonably easy to replace, or if I send it to a service centre how much is it likely to cost to repair?

That doesn't look broken, just the pin fell out, snap it back together if you can find the pin.  Or put a round tooth pick in the hole after snapping it back on.  jmho

You can try WD9EON's advice and see if that helps. If you are missing that pin, you can try and see if another one can be provided by the North American Support team.

You can try the same advice as I posted above.

I just tried it yesterday and flew to 200 ft right above me. Still had 5 bars of RC signal, so I think it is fine. Thanks for the advice everybody!
