You can also import your footage directly in Premiere and drop it on the timeline then, select it and choose a scale of 50% in the effects window, you have to render it to read it fluently.
But you can choose any other scale to zoom in your footage or center it differently : that offers you the possibility of postproduction of the scale, the focus and changing scale between one point and an other of you shoot : a studio post zooming!
