I recently got the Osmo mobile and was looking to get the tripods with extension rod, but I'm wondering how you control the settings or just take a picture since you can't access your phone or the Osmo buttons. Does the rod have a shutter buttons or remote control?
You can access the phone and Osmo buttons after it is mounted on the extension rod. I also have my rod on the DJI tripod base. The setup is a bit flimsy. The difference is one is not holding the Osmo handle. I have used this setup for stills and panoramas. For more stability, I use my regular tripod and the DJI Base.
