What ipad you use?
I am lite bit older and ned redading glasses.

iPad air 2 retina , and mount on a tripod ...?  Reading glasses here too but I went with the mini 2 retina for weight and size mouted to the controller...

I use an iPad Air 2 as well. Fits firmly in the RC and is gib enough for good reading. The biggest challenge is to look at the display on a niche sunny day - but I suppose this would be the same on an iPad Mini.
