Hello
I have problem with my Phantom 4 image quality. I tried IMU and vision system and camera calibration, new propellers but horizon still tilted. Another problem with image distortion, building and towers are leaning in corners.

Thanks

Apparently this is a standard issue/feature of the Phantom 4. The corners of the image may distort slightly due to the type of lens used on the P4, this will be made a lot more noticeable by the titled horizon.

Have you only recently purchased your Phantom 4, if so I would take it back and try another one. All Phantoms appear to have a tilted horizon but some are worse than others.

I have attached a photo of what mine looked like fresh out of the box. No amount of alignments or calibrations helped.

You realise you can adjust the roll of the gimbal when in flight to level out the horizon if needed ?

Hold C2 button operated and adjust camera roll using right hand wheel on RC.

I don't know, do you ?

I certainly don't have to, but the option is there if you need to and takes seconds to adjust.

Your bigger problem is that distortion, does that change at all using different camera modes ?

Have you tried to calibrate the gimbal by itself during preflight?

Set the aircraft on completely level surface first.

Can you verify what firmware you're running on your unit?

Wide angle lenses have distortion. No way around it. Photoshop has some fixes. Regarding tilted, the new firmware just released may help. (New firmware for Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+ --- 2016.12.9) The unit could well benefit from an IMU clibration. Hope this helps.

On mine that had zero effect on horizon. It was always about 2.7 out on the roll adjustment.

Really? I would think you'd have to program the C2 button right? If it works, nice touch.

Oh it works alright

The buttons can be programmed with various functions which operate when you push and release button to toggle. Holding the button operated is interpreted differently by the software.
