Bug detected in the latest firmware version v01.03.0000 in the Mavic Pro
I've updated my Mavic Pro to the latest firmware version v01.03.0000 and I have detected a problem when the aircraft makes quick turns and rotations. The gimbal makes a quick jumps when the pilot does a quick turns to the left and right or rotations. I have returned to the previous firmware version and this problem has disappeared. I have tried to install the latest firmware again, and the problem appears again...Finally, I installed the previous firmware version v01.02.0900 to solve this problem.
Recreation of the problem in my house:

If is a firmware bug I hope DJI fix this bug as soon as possible, If it is a manufacturing defect, please tell me what to do
I do not see this problem on mine. Doesn't mean I am not seeing other issues, just no problems when panning.
DJI support will ask you to do an IMU, compass, VPS and gimbal calibration after the firmware update and others have reported some success with various calibrations after updating.
I agree, I noticed this issue after the last update on my Mavic as well. Everything else is great aside from the gimbal looking like it's bouncing or skipping on quick rotations. When you're flying smooth there are no issues.
not sure if this is the cause since I haven't received my Mavic yet to confirm but from what I have read, when you do a firmware update it defaults all of the user settings. Possibly you had a slower gimbal speed on the old firmware and after the update, it defaults to a higher speed which when seen appears to be the gimbal jumping.....have you tried slowing down the gimbal speed to see if that fixes it?
Alex, I think I have exactly the same problem. I started to notice it after the last upgrade. The gimbal jumps when rotating the Mavic Pro. Since this happens while flying (and I haven't done ground testing) I could not check. But it does indeed show in my videos.

Not sure that's actually a bug... Have you recorded the video on the drone's sd card? Does recorded video on the sd card show the same? I suspect it does not. My thinking is that you are just seeing hickups in the live video stream, due to interference.

Yes, I have it recorded, at least twice on an SD card.
At first, I also thought it was a case of hickups.
Thanks.
Just noticed this today doing a flight. Every time I yawed quickly, the gimbal did a slight drop down with a quick recovery to less than original height. Reproduced easily every time.
Me too and I'm not even on 1.03 yet. Sounds like I should wait.
I have to wonder if this is hardware issue since the gimbal mount is quite "rubbery" that it may not be able to compensate.
BTW I think this should be stickied to top of forum as I think as more people get their hands on Mavic, they may not be as quick in letting their Phantom 3 or older drone go because this wobble has dashed my hope in ditching my Phantom 3 Pro.
Yes, I have this problem on 1.03 too. Also, I have experienced random shakes during the flight. Sometimes it is not able to hold level of horizon while going sideways. Gimbal calibration fails on 73%.
On 1.02 it seems to be much more stable and calibration goes OK.
Also, I have "Gimbal Motor Overloaded" warning message during aircraft startup. Warning disappears after few seconds and it gimbal looks to be ok - I am wondering if this is normal or shall I ask for repair/replacement? Happens on both versions of firmware. All clamps and stickers are removed.
Hi. I installed the new v01.03.02000 firmware and the problem is minimized but not solved. I test today this update in fly and I had some jumps. I not sure if is a hardware or firmware problem because other people not have this problem with any firmware version.
Hello, after upgrading my Mavic to the last version 01.03.0200, the problem has minimized, but not fixed... I have some gimbal bumps and jumps in my Mavic.
