We've just purchased a Phantom to asist with HV Powerlines inspections and maintenance on a mining site.
Does anyone know of a Thermal Imaging camera that is compatible with the Phantom Vision 2 gimble?

I am experimenting with a device that is in the right weight range, but additional work would be needed to attach it to the gimbal video, or a  transmitter. I am testing an independent transmission setup that would go straight to a monitor from the light weight device, and only pull power from the phantom, allowing for close range online field diagnostics.

It would be very easy to just capture and record infrared video.

Try contacting Flir Thermal Imaging cameras direct.  I beleive they may have a camera in its raw box form suitable for UAV mounting.

fyi, the flir device interferes with the GPS, that is to say the inexpensive option does
