I am trying to update my Phantom 3 Professionavl with the Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.10.90 Zip file. When I download the file, I click to open it and it keeps opening .czpz and nothing ever ends up opening. Please help if you know how to fix. It is definitly a corrput zip.

Have you tried downloading it again?
If the file was corrupt already on their servers they would probably fix it

Yes, I have tried downloading it again...as well as downloading it on another computer and it is doing the same thing.

When I download it from DJI, it downloads as a .bin at first, then i click on it and it turns into a .cpgz and the only thing that happens when i try to open that is that it makes another .bin file.

Something goes wrong with your downloads. Try again to site http://www.dji.com/phantom-3-pro/info#downloads The correct filename for Phantom 3 Pro is P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.zip. The file downloaded normally as ".zip" file.

Hi ajbdrone, have you tried to use anther computer to download the firmware file again?

I have upgraded my P3 Pro to Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.10.90 (2016-11-29) today (27-12-2016);
1. upgraded the controller using my iPad by just clicking firmware upgrade message.
2. Downloaded Firmware v1.10.90 and unzipped. Copied P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.bin file to micro SD card.
3. Inserted micro SD card to P3 and power on.
4. There were lights flashing and multiple noises. LED in the front of the camera started flashing red and green - Update in progress.
5. After about 16min, camera led turned green - Update completed. check the log file for success entry;
Packet: P3X_FW_V01.10.0090.bin
Upgrading ...
Result: Success.
6. Repeat same with all your batteries.

Did a test flight no issues found.
