I have both the P4 and the P4P. 5 batteries of the P4 design and 1 that same with the P4P. Extra batteries for the P4P are almost impossible to find.
Here is what I found. This is using the Go App 4
Tested all five of my P4 batteries in the P4P, 4 of the five wanted to do a firmware update. The 5th was previously in the field. I allowed each one to update and restart the AC. No more warning for firmware.
Fired up the P4 with the updated batteries and got a firmware warning. I had it skip the update.
So it looks the P4 and P4P use different firmware settings. Will have to do some controlled flights so I can capture logs to compare the version signatures.
Not sure if this is going to make much of a difference unless you push a P4 battery to the limits in a P4P where it may think it has more reserve than it actually does.
Any suggestions on the battery firmware issue? Allow it to update depending on which AC I am flying in?
Would be nice in a future release for the battery firmware versioning to be consistent across the P4 family. |
