DJI,
I am hearing rumors from other P4P owners that the original P4 battery is compatible with the P4P, but is not suggested to be used?

I would appreciate clarification.

I have 4 of that P4 batteries and also the one high capacity battery that came with my P4 Pro. I had to update the firmware on all of the regular P4 batteries but have had zero issues flying whatsoever.

Thanks, but which firmware - the latest firmware for the P4 with the battery update, or the firmware for the P4P?

Hi, just the firmware for the P4P. It's all I own. I found a good deal from Beach Camera (On Amazon) and was able to purchase 2 of the P4 batteries for 169.00 (US) So i bought 2 sets of 2! .... Which is what the price was for just 1 of the newer higher capacity batteries. After charging them fully I was simply prompted to update the firmware on each of them when I put them in my P4P.   

i too have the original hc capacity battery that cam with thte p4p and some some normal p4 batteries from a friend. no issues at all

The batteries are changeable.
If it needs to be upgraded, you will get a notice on the APP screen when you connect all properly.

I didn't have to update the firmware on my P4 battery with the P4P, should I have? App said. Toning about firmware for the P4 battery..?
