Has anyone experienced this. A DJI App on my phone is making a bunch of pictures and I don't know why or if I'm the only one experiencing it

Just to clarify, do you have the caching enabled? Do you see what the folder name is that these are getting stored to?

The pictures will be auto-downloaded on the android devices, you can just delete them.

You can just delete them? Who has time for software that spams their phone with erroneous unneeded information

from Googling

Apps may store images in their folders, or cache thumbnails from the web (for example, a bunch of avatars of other players if you're playing a socially connected game). Any image in your folders will appear in the Gallery. If you want to use the app, you have to accept the fact that it will save some images locally. If you erase those images or folders, the app will likely re-download them.

absolutely true.
The APP has permission's to do so.

I guess the real question is deeper.

What benefit, are all these extra images and edit features and so forth, to me when I fly my Phantom?
they do nothing for it all !--- this truly is the issue

I believe I am not alone in having absolutely no need or desire to ever video edit on my phone!
I have no use for the low res cached images when I can use the awesome 4k on SD and PC.
I am aware many do , for them a simple editor could be provided separately easily.

I really wish the GO APP and The GO EDITOR were 2 individual choice to have and use as needed or NOT needed.

all this extra stuff is causing issues across the board and we are all aware of it.
why fight the simple solution.

you kinda got it with GO 4,
now for the next step.

a dedicated Flying APP!

good luck and have fun flying!
