A couple of weeks ago I noticed that I start getting random messages on my phone saying, "Unfortunately, DJI Go app has stopped." This was happening almost daily and I wasn't event trying to use the app. It wasn't opened or anything. I have unintalled and reinstalled it several times with no resolution. I also tried uninstalling, restarting (and powering off) and then reinstalling and same thing. I am able to use it on my wife's iPad but not on mine. I have the S7 edge. I have successfully use it with the S7 edge for the past several months, the problem only recently started about 2 or so weeks ago. Any suggestions?

I would try to clear app data or uninstall and then reinstall the app.

Hi AustrianOak82, could you please provide a screenshot of your mobile device system and a screenshot of the error message here?

I believe what SHorowitz meant, was to delete the Go app, clear all 'browser cache and cookies'. Restart, reinstall, and good luck.

Sometimes if possible, using a unit as your dedicated device is best, where applicable. Obviously not everyone can do this, though... ;-)

Anyway, hopefully, you can get it working again...

Mine Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge have android 6.0.1 with DJI GO 3.1.1 with no issue.

Try uninstall the DJI GO app from your device, after uninstall then use your device file manager to browse the internal storage and delete this 2 folder called (DJI) and (DJI.PILOT).
After deleted that 2 folder then go goggle apps store download and install it again.

I'm not going to lose anything by doing that? The folder has a lot in it.

You can copying out to SD card then only delete the 2 folder, after re-install the Go app and test if it work fine then transfer back that 2 folder into it lol!
So easy way we try to solve your issue but you worry to lost all your data! the data you can sync back after dji go app installed.

You've been using the S7 Edge all these past months without any app crashes?
I know from actual personal experience that the app was not compatible with the S7E since the July 2016 firmware update, hence why I downgraded my model using ODIN.
Have either Samsung or DJI brought out a compatibility fix after all these months or did you just get lucky?

It would nice if a DJI rep would answer this question.

On this forum look up "DJI go APP crashing bug (repeatable)"
Dion.lazerlight gives a step by step. Worked for me.

First need to clear your files that the app has saved to your device, then go into the DJI go APP settings and disable "cache locally when recording"

So I moved the entire DJI folder from my device storage to my SD card. When that was done, I deleted the DJI folder from the device only. The app booted right up.

What should I do now? Do I leave everything over there or still complete the above steps, or what?

After you have removed files from your you can leave them on your SD card if you would like. But you need to go into the app's settings, while your drone is on of course, and disable "cache locally when recorded" or it will happen again

Ok, since you still haven't solved the problem after you reinstall, have you tried clearing the cache and clearing the data? There is also a device that erases the cache partition and factory settings. Try it one by one until the stopped app can be launched again.
