My Mavic arrived Tuesday and today, Saturday was my first flight! All charged up and off to my usual spot. I laid a carpet down with an X on it for Precision landing... Calibrated and everything in the green I auto take off. I planned on hovering for 15 seconds or so and 3-5 seconds in the hover it rolls on it's side and hits the ground! Horrified I assess the damage, broken prop but everything else seems OK. Has anyone even heard of this before? Literally a 5 second flight. I have never had any issues with My Phantom Pro 3. Very upset.

need more details....and likely the flight logs to properly assess what happened.

There seems to have been a few reports of this happening since the new firmware when using auto takeoff ... I dont really use auto take off, but i would suggest manually taking off to be on the safe side

They will help to analyse the flight records and let you know what could have caused the issue.

Wow! Not sure anymore if I could fly that thing safely.
Was also thinking getting one but maybe better to wait till bugs are fixed

Mine has been working perfectly.    Auto land and takeoff.   Return to Home.   Etc.    Everything has been working fine.

Same. I can see where problems can come in because the tolerances on everything is tight. I did have problems with the new firmware, but downgraded, defaults, using the go and litchi apps. I noticed the props that came with it where not perfectly level. I bought a set at the apple store and confirmed. The thing flys like a dream though, it's like a table indoors and out. I even flew in high winds and the footage was perfect. The only thing is on release of the stick you will get gimbal movement, but that's things you learn while filming.

I don't plan on upgrading the firmware, really nothing to fix imo. Dji gave me a good one, happy. The heatsink makes me scratch my head though, it heats up quite a bit idle, enough for the fan to kick on.

I pull the sd card now to get footage off the mavic every time.
