Sounds like the controller might have lost connection and the Mavic went into RTH mode. Did you try pressing the pause button when it was happening? Although if it wasn't connected it wouldn't have mattered.

You also have an older firmware version.

I didn't get any lost controller message and it didn't RTH. It flew backward beyond starting point and didn't made any attempt to land or slow down.

Did you not get a prompt to upgrade to the new firmware within the last week? You're on an old version.

Do you have access to another Mac or PC you can try to retrieve the logs with?

Did you try the pause button? And why weren't you on the latest firmware ??

No I did not get any Firmware update notification since the last update.I reeled on the update notification. And last time I checked there was none.
