Hello everyone! it's been a while since I owned a DJI (my P2V+ flew away). Now I'm back, finally after 2 months of waiting to get my Mavic. Here is my first video done completely with the Mavic pro:

Very good!! Some of the nicest smoothest footage I have seen. What settings did you use? Have you adjusted gimbal rates and stick rates? Really really nice!!

Thank you!. I used the same standard settings except allowing the camera to point up (the 30 degree option). I think that there is only a one shot that I did use the camera over the horizontal line. The mavic is smooth enough and very responsive, at least to me (maybe because I'm a gamer + been using the bebop drone for a year lol)

Thank you for sharing your video with us. I liked the variety of shots and only very smooth.....noticed a few spots with vibration or jello effect in the right corner. The tiny gimbal can be less stable in the wind, but I am very happy with my Mavic Pro!

I wondered if that was an autofocus happening due to a sharp change in distance?

It was a windy day, I had to post-stabilize few shots, and that was one of them.

Looks like motion stabilisation software freaking out.

I like the clips looking straight down on the river!  By the way, are you in Idaho?  Looks familiar!

I also took a flight in the mountains. This is in Idaho. Im not brave enough yet to go out very far. Working on it slowly.

They do look close in the video but they really were not close at all. I might have had it zoomed in.

I shot a really nice clip moving up a winding, rocky river here in the Canadian Rockies last week. I came home to review the footage. Just at the point where I begin a nice, sweeping rise in altitude the Mav cut right under a nearly invisible low, overhead power line I couldn't see on my initial recce. (I'm going to be twice as cautious going forward).

You are right. They really are further than they look though.

What was the temperature during the flight? Did you notice any decrease in battery life in the cold?

I love that blue sky!Maybe you could give the sky more shots.haha...

Both videos look great... Once I get mine I hope to make some videos like these.

Well done !, However: Take care when you play the movie backwards. From 2:03 the cars and trucks also go backwards ... ;-)

Gut gemacht!, Allerdings: Aufpassen, wenn Du den Film rückwärts abspielst. Ab 2:03 fahren die Autos und Lkw auch rückwärts... ;-)

probably in the 20s F ( about -10 C). I didn't spend more than 15 minutes there but I don't remember how much was left

I appreciate your kind words Not really, that's what happens when you throw a controller to a video gamer lol + I've been flying drones for years now and I'm kind of a photo/videographer at the same time.
