I didnt own an I1, so the I2 capabilities and equipment add's are new to me.  Researching the various camera options, I've noticed several have "International Version" of the same lens.  So my questions:  1)  Will the Int'l versions work with the X5S  and 2)  is the risk of purchasing the Int'l versions worth the lower price ?

"International version" has more to do with warranty, or should I say lack of warranty. Should be the same lens if everything else is the same.

With the International version lenses and cameras for that matter you are on your own if something goes wrong and if something should break you will have a hard tome getting it repaired. The price difference is not worth the risk.
