This might be a dumb question, but... does anyone know how those peaople on YouTube have been able to get their Inspire 2 units so far ahead of the official release from DJI to be able to write reviews?
Guess I'm what i'm asking is... what is the criteria DJI uses to select who it ships early units to for review.

wait....Ken...aren't you one of them? :-) Seem's I remember about the first non-DJI footage came from your youtube page, but I'm obsessed with such things.

It seems obvious to me that the review products have gone out to a range of folks who have some sort of presence on the web and youtube. I actually have liked this roll-out as there have been a range of viewpoints, from the RC hobbyists (FliteTest and RCGroups) to serious photography videography sites (well, one -- Cinema5d)...to the truly crazy Samiluo and his endless extreme testing, (and that group that tied 6 water bottles to it and clipped the ends of the rotors off). Some also seem tied to dealers, which seems appropriate.

Personally I enjoyed your shots the most, Ken, as they were the first that showed me that the cameras on the new drones were a true improvement.

You are thinking of the other Ken, yes he's had the I2 for a while.

As it is an exercise in pure marketing and intended to raise hype, they will make their decision based on number of subscribers, views, etc.

Cheap advertising and there are very tight NDAs and Gag clauses to ensure that just the right message gets out.

Most likely they are Beta testers. They cannot say anything until the release announcement is approved by DJI.

You have to have at least one million subscribers on You tube ,  does not matter if you fly like a complete fool and endanger life  or limb , DJI will look the  other way as long as you have free advertising for them .

Sad but True

Not the fault of the friendly, informative  moderators , just the way it is .
