I placed my order on the 3rd Nov with a UK Online retailer who specialises mainly in Cameras, but also has for sometime supplied drones. I bought my P3 4K from them last year.
Having seen the DJI Direct orders now start to ship for orders place around the same time as mine, I thought I would find out what the update s for my particular order.
The outlook is not so good.

The retailer is still not getting many shipments, and will no longer tell me where I am in the queue. Which leads me to believe they have had near enough to Zero Mavic's to ship out.
They also project that my order will be most likely late Feb or more likely March 2017 beforre I get it, so a wait of 4 to 5 months.
If this is the case, I will probably return it immediately, as I suspect DJI will have announced the Mavic 2.
This happened when I ordered the P3 4K! I waited for it to come in, and it was then disclosed the P4 would be coming soon.

So quite honestly I am sadded to see that DJI appears to be leaving the Retailers in limbo with many unfulfilled orders while it manages it's direct customers. Personally, I can believe another month wait is reasonable as they ramp up production to clear the backlogs and equalise the stock availability between existing customer orders and retailer back orders.

I still have my P2, P3 4K and soon to arrive a 3DR Solo. I hope that it is not too lomg for the Mavic to arrive, but it does appear the other threads talking about March 2017 from other UK Retailer customers are starting to be actually quite valid.

Nope, as I stated it was a Photography retailer. And I suspect most of the smaller retailers are going to be in the same position. Relying on the appointed distributor to receive stock and allocate it against the orders.
Which will probably mean that each retailer will only get a trickle. Larger retailers will probably have a direct arrangement with DJI.

What I heard this week, mirrored what other buyers were saying about their orders in Europe.
Another 3 month wait, will play into the hands of other manufacturers, and DJI will lose sales unless they can sort this stuff out.

A March delivery will be too late for me, as it will have missed 2 important trips I have planned for 2017. So if it arrives too late for those, I will cancel and wait to see what Mavic 2 or the Karma looks like.

your post just echoes what I have been saying. UK/Ireland distributors have been severely let down. Direct orders are taking priority. Yet on this very board, DJI reps refuse to acknowledge the issue and in fact will blame it on 'bad' distributors. They cant all be 'bad'! right?

I don't think the dealers are bad, if you look at eBay there are not many Mavics for sale, and the ones for sale look like they are private sellers looking to turn a quick profit.
Ultimately, I believe this boils down to Saving Face, and the company can save it's personal face by shipping direct orders in under 60 days.
What it does or does not do for the Distributor / Retail chain does not really affect it's face.
This is my third DJI drone, maybe it will be my last, maybe it will be cancelled.
I will wait until the 3rd Feb, and then it will get cancelled, 90 days waiting will be enough.

I ordered from my dealer the day after announcement in September. The dealer, and the distributor had received nothing from DJI and no forthcoming information either as to timelines. Therefore I cancelled my order. I'm not prepared to wait until March or thereabouts as a> there are numerous issues with the drone presently and b> no doubt the 2nd version would be announced soon enough.

This has really driven home the poor customer service from DJI. I've had it before trying to communicate with them with my first drone (DJI f550) and my first phantom. I think I'm done with them
