[size=14.666666984558105px] 30 feet and it switched to "vision"and then ATTI and the Mavic drifted and started circle. I felt a panic coming on i gained control and landed. i still saw 18 satellites but is    was in a red color.
[size=14.666666984558105px]I restarted everything and then i had a perfect flight.
[size=14.666666984558105px]I called DJI and they said some interference could be the issue
[size=14.666666984558105px]

[size=14.666666984558105px]Here is what what was found after review of the log files [size=14.666666984558105px]gpsHealth dropped abruptly from 5 to 1 which caused a brief[size=14.666666984558105px] switch to ATTI.
[size=14.666666984558105px]this has happed twice so far once close and another time a good distance away .
[size=14.666666984558105px]

[size=14.666666984558105px]what is the cause for this ? i fly in the same spot and I dont get any errors messges for calibratons .

What mode were you in prior to this ? Sport by any chance?

In any case, what firmware version are you running?

Don't rely on any data from Healthy Drones, only DJI has the software to correctly decode the flight data recorder. If it went to ATTI and did a circle then that sounds like you could use a compass calibration.
When doing a calibration, make sure to have no metal at all on your person (keys, watch, phone, jewelry) and set the RC/Phone on the ground several feet away from the aircraft when you start the calibration.
What is your email and I can review your flight?
You can also review the flight from the flight records, and tap the RC icon and that will overlay your stick inputs.

It shouldnt be doing this on the latest firmware .. previously it would drop from GPS mode like you describe when Magnetic interference was high ... they since adjusted it to swap to the redundant 2nd compass when this happens.

As Ken says, you might have a bad Compass calibration (on both ... ) but DJI-Mindy wanted to analise flight records if this still happened on new firmware.

Did you do a compass calibration before your flight?
You shouldn't have as it looks like you are on the roof.
And if you look at your altitude in your flight record, you climbed to 7m (22ft) then you flew off the roof ( that may be why Healthy Drones shows the drop in altitude.
Try another flight from the roof but calibrate the compass on the ground away from any metal then take it up tot he roof. You may get a compass error but when you gain some altitude the error should go away.

I only calibrated the Mavic once when I first received it on ground level at my house.
what caused the abrupt drop  in GPS ?  I fly from this roof often
And should I calibrate the compass when not asked to ? or before each flight ?

I don't want to loose the Mavic from user error and I thank you for helping me Ken

It was a high KP index today, could that have affected this?

If you calibrated when you first received it and never gave you any issues up to this flight, then you probably don't need to calibrate it but it can't hurt.
As far as the GPS, I'm not sure why it went into ATTI mode, keep an eye on it and if it persists you can try to restore to factory settings and refreshing the firmware.
