Hello,
I received my phantom4 pro today. Did the firmware upgrade on the aircraft and the remote with the latest software. Have installed the latest djo go 4 android app. What worries me is that as soon as the phantom4 pro starts it seems to make a more than normal humming sound, that has a sharp whirring sound. Now I have owned a regular phantom 4 in the past, which did make a sound of the fan on startup. But the phantom4 pro sound is more than normal to the point of it being annoying. Is this what folks out there have experienced with their phantom4 pro? Is this normal on a $1500 machine? Let me know.

Hello RHK, could you please make a short video of the sound? I'll help to check it.

Yeah, mine is the same. The P4 is very quiet in comparison.

This is also normal on a $1800 machine.

Just an FYI..I opened a case with online chat. They created a case and sent me UPS shipping label for an exchange. Have already shipped it back to them.

It sounds like either the gimbal or VPS fan, the whirring seems within acceptable range but you would most likely not incur this while the unit is outside flying. The repair technicians will perform further evaluation on your unit and will let you know if it's otherwise.

I just turned mine on, I don't hear anything like that ticking, even stuck my ear up to the bottom of it.

The fan noise is the whir - it's quite loud on mine too. The clicking may be the phone microphone responding to the P4P's ultra-sonic sensor bursts which we don't hear, according to a poster in another thread on this.

The fan noise sounded completely normal then, I thought it was the ticking.

It´s the internal fan, at least in my case. I made a video about it. If you gently press the shell like i do the noise goes away.

Ok guys I had the same problem with the loud fan noise. It seemed as if it was rubbing against something which I believe would lead to early wear and tear issues with the fan. BUT THE NOISE IS NOW GONE! It was a really easy fix too. All you have to do is SLIGHTLY adjust those srews that attach the gimbal cover to the drone. (The gray part). I used a small allen wrench (Size 1.5mm) and tightened them a tiny bit and noticed it did not inprove so I loosened them a TINY TINY BIT AND BOOM! The noise is gone! Let me know if this helps you all too. I am confident it will
