Without having an app store I don't necessarily trust that the check for update on the app actually works. I remember another person talking about his version not having the same functions as someone doing a YouTube review even though the RC said it was up to date.

So what version of the app on the Pro+ do you have?

I don't know any that I'm missing, this was what another person said in a past post and I think he was on an earlier version than what we have. I brought that up because his RC was telling him he had the latest version but it was not.

Were you able to set up the infinite focus. When I try it keeps telling me to choose a far away object to focus on (more than 60 feet) but I ma focusing almost a mile away and I keep getting the same message!

I haven't had a chance to launch it yet, it's been crappy weather out. Mainly been playing with the screen and realizing they need to make some major updates to its functionality.

There's a DJI Go 4 update on Google Play dated December 22, 2016 (i.e. today). But when I run Settings->Application Setting->Check for Update, I get a weird "No Latest Version Detected" message.
(It would be more reassuring to say "You are running the latest version.")

But that aside, when will the Pro+ get this update? Will I have to update the entire firmware (SD card etc.) or will the Check for Update work?

It's a separate release for the Pro+ than the Android release, but no clue how behind it will be.

Thanks for your feedback.
The APP for the built-in screen remote is upgraded together with the remote file recently, it will be able to update with a separate file in near further.
You can check the version on "About" page, if all are latest, please do not worry about it.

with 4.0.1 on Android they added:

Added support for Inspire 2:
- Added support for PIP image transmission
- Added Spotlight Pro Mode
- Added Master and Slave coordination and broadcast mode
Mavic:
- Added Cinematic Mode for more stable video shooting
General:
- Improved user experience
- Improved user interface in Editor

So for P4P/P4P+ interesting is Improved user experience maybe, as for interface in editor I'm not sure it will bring any benefits.
I'm also waiting for an update on P4P+

I worry about it because I have a brand new P4P+ with all latest software and all it does is CRASH  as soon as I hit "GO FLY" . . . is there any solution?

Did you ever find a solution to this?  I read in another thread that P4P+ users were backing up their settings on the RC and performing a reset on it, allowing the app to start working again.

If still the same case, please help export the crash log and we'll help you analyze it.
You can connect it to your PC, and find the crash log here: DJI / dji.pilot.pad, then send the log to support@dji.com
