I currently have a Phantom 3A. For various reasons, I have kept my DJI GO app (iPad) on version 2.8.3 (with P3A on the associated firmware). I have no desire to update to a newer version at this time. Based on this, DJI Go is also installed on my iPhone (6+)

In considering the purchase of an Osmo Mobile, I have a few questions:

- Will the Osmo mobile work with DJI GO 2.8.3 on my iPhone?
- If so, will there be any missing features? (which ones?)

- Looking at my phone, somehow it was updated to DJI GO 3.1.1. I never use the phone with GO, so that isn't an issue for the P3A. However, the same questions would apply to this version of DJI GO being used with the Osmo Mobile.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Osmo Mobile was released three months after DJI Go 2.8.3, so no, it's not supported.

I suggest you use the latest DJI Go app with Osmo Mobile, as it has more features than earlier version (active tracking, 4K, bulk file saving, etc)

So what's the latest version of GO?

What about 3.1.1 that I have on my iPhone? Is that the latest and, if not, will that work?

The latest version of DJI GO is 3.11 (GO4 is not used for the Osmo) , so your iPhone is on the latest.

Thanks, that does simplify things.

One other related question...

I have read that to use DJI GO with the Osmo Mobile, a DJI account is required and you must log in and register to use the device. These comments give the appearance that if you don't log in with DJI GO, you can't use/set up the Osmo. Sounds like a very odd requirement , so I am not sure if this is true.

Obviously I have a DJI account. However, where I would use the Osmo has no internet access. Will I need to drive somewhere to find internet access? If so, is that a "one time" thing when first setting up? Or is a connection required at any subsequent start up? I have no need for any of the "social" features - I just want to use it as a gimbal when capturing video to my phone.

It's only needed the first time to activate the device, then internet is no longer needed.

Hi,

Can anyone help on DJI Go's two options for OSMO Mobile for "long exposure" photography:

- How to use?
- What are the differences between the two modes?
- Can they be used on the hand held or only on a tripod?
- Can it be used with the camera in manual mode?

Thanks
