I had to make a brass clip, the plastic nubs broke on firs use.
I also used a swim noodle tube to make the floats, fits good in the mounts.

The noodles work better the holes fill with water and really stabilize the mavic pro.

I have to ask.  Why risk your expensive mavic trying to land on or take off of water?  Isn't there a piece of dry ground to do that on?  Just wondering.

I don't think these are necessarily designed for pro active use on water but more of a safety measure for those who use their drone while enjoying water sports like kayaking, fishing etc. If you don't plan on using your drone while over water then I wouldn't buy them. If your on your boat in the Florida Keys and want to get some footage of the party on the sandbar then these are cheap enough for the added protection they could provide.
