Heres a little clip i made 4 days after this building burnt it was still smoldering. The cause of fire was thoght to be homeless starting a fire inside to keep warm.

Thanks! I had a cop pull into the parking lot as I was flying. I got a little nervous. I was just waiting for him to come tell me I couldn't  be flying there but he actually pulled in to talk to a guy in a service truck that was parked close to me. He never did say anything to me.

let's say that you wanted to go " deeper" into the building... would the mavic lose " signal " ?? putting between you and the mavix part of a building or a wall would block the signal or give any other sort of problems?
sorry if it sounds stupid but.. as i said i'm a newbie and id' like to understand how the drone will behave in that sort of situation ;) thank you

En la ciudad the St Joseph, en Missouri en los Estados Unidos.

Buceafalo there was a lot of interference my signal was pretty week for only being a couple hundred feet away. I was in a hurry and didn't go down inside I didn't have time to walk across the street into a blocked off parking garage to the top level so I could keep my LOS going down into it like I wanted to. However if you did lose signal going down into the building the "return-to-home" should make it gain altitude and would get over the wall and you would regain signal and could take control. They are demolishing the building now might try to make it back by and get some more video or at least a picture to post on here. There was some articles in the paper showing pictures of a theater that was inside back in the early 1900's and it looked pretty amazing. It had been remodeled since then and the theater was no longer in it when it burned. Very historical building though.

Heres a picture of the theater that was inside. they said it was build in 1878 or somewhere in there and was remolded during the great depression in the 1930s to office space.

Great video. It is sad to see a piece of history destroyed by fire. The building held up well considering what happened.

I had it on auto. Still practicing with photography, by no means am I professional. Trying to be a photographer and pilot at the same time adds a whole new level of difficulty. I had my wife and 18 month old in the car while I was trying to film so I was in a hurry and didn't get as many shots as I would like to have. That being said pointers are appreciated like I said I'm still learning.

Smoke shouldn't affect it. Electric motors do not require oxygen to operate so I don't see why it wouldn't fly with more smoke.
