Overcurrent discharge followed by uncontrollable descent

I just came in from a very brief flight cut short by an "overcurrent discharge" message.  I was only about 50m away, and as soon as I got the warning I flew back and began to decend. I quickly realized the descent was very wobbly and fast and tried to stop/slow it but it had no effect and it crashed into the ground. I haven't powered it back up yet, as its dark and I don't want to test if it works anymore without daylight. It was a prettty forceful crash.
What could have caused overcurrent discharge? What should I do at this point?

It was not rainy. That would have been the obvious error and I would be crying to myself in shame now.

When you pick up the aircraft, did you notice any frost on the propeller?
What was the temperature of the environment and can you provide any info about the humidity?

Definitely no frost - it wasn't cold enough for that.
Probably about 5 degrees (Celsius). Not sure about humidity.

I sent the Mavic and everything included back for a replacement with all the forms. According to the tracking, it arrived at the DJI facility in California on Monday. I haven't yet received a confirmation via email, and the repair progress tracker doesn't yet show "Product Received". Is this normal?
I hope that I have a Mavic in my hands before mid-february, as I will be going on vacation and I hope to bring my Mavic instead of Phantom.

Hi, Guido-Italy, sorry for the error during the flight, this error will display when the wind is strong or fully pushing the control sticks, the propulsion output is too large and the voltage may suddenly decrease and lead App to prompt warning. Please try to avoid flying in the strong wind and fulling pushing the joysticks.

Hi Guido-Italy, was your battery stored for a long time without using? If yes, please fully charge and discharge the battery for the safety concern, if the error is caused by the battery defect, it could be dangerous. Please refer to my post in 19# and make sure your operation is fine.

Hi DJI Mindy I use battery every week. I have this problem with two batteries: one is 1 month old and really I don't know if other two may have same problem.

And more DJI Mindy two overcurrent discharge warning is with a new one battery SN 093XF4304503GE that you give me back 2 months ago to replace a previous "dead" battery.
