Did a quick search but couldn't find anything - - guessing this has been answered but thought it would be quicker to just ask

Picked up a Nvidia Shield tab to use w/ my P3 standard, now having trouble finding a remote holder for it.  One on Amazon for 9.7" tabs looks like it's fixed height

Anyone care to point me in the right direction??  thanks

I had the same problem. I looked online and there was nothing that got good reviews. I had a music stand so I decided that I can put my tablet on that. It works great except having to carry it around. Hope that helps you. Safe flying!

     There are "S" or "Z" brackets you can make to extend the device holder.  The photo is one I made out of metal in 5 minutes.
There are others on the Internet.  I typed in:  "extender for device holder Phantom"

Am I understanding your question correctly? You just want to be able to mount you Nvidia Shield to the Phantom 3 Standard controller?  I did just this mod. You can take a shortcut as mentioned above, but if you want to put a proper mount on your controller it can be done fairly easy.  Here is the guide I followed... It worked out really well...

     Yes, my approach was definitely a shortcut.  Yours, from PhantomHelp, is nuclear science!  Mine also needs stabilization.  Like I said, the unit in the photo took just 5 minutes, the stabilization will take longer.  The nVidia Shield K1 is much more heavy than the kinds of devices imagined for the P3S.  How durable is the holder you put in?

actually it looks like the max size tablet this can hold is about 6.5", the Nvidia Shield is an 8" tablet

what tablet are you using in the holder?

It is an Alba 7". The maximum open width is 6 1/2" but there is also available an extension piece that can be added to take an iPad air 3 I believe.

Now that dji is aware of the modifications P3S users are doing, do you know if they still void the warranty if you make the modification?

I think anything you do short of writing your name in Sharpie would constitute voiding any warranty. You would think that they would have seen the tablet mount mod as a further revenue stream, but I doubt it.

I completed the mod with the guide from mavichelp as I mentioned in the above post.  It is far from nuclear science. It took about 15 minutes for me. It fits my NVidia shield K1 perfectly. Very secure when done properly.  Just take a few extra minutes and do it right. No need for shortcuts.

Did you find a holder or mount that would not void the DJI warranty as a mod? I looked all the way through this thread and it turned into a thread about stickers.

The Invidia Shield measures approximately 5" x 8 3/4".  The 8" you refer to is the active screen measured diagonally.  It will definitely fit the holders shown.
