Why did DJI stop selling the TB48 batteries?

Really? When did they stop?

Have you already gotten in contact with the Online Sales team? From what I can see, the TB48's are available in other regions so it could just be a temporary situation in your area.

Yea it's on the US section of the Store but it's not there for the Australia section, where the OP is referring to.

Maybe illegal to deliver because of the higher Kw capacity?

Thanks Jamie, it's a relief to know DJI are still supplying them especially with the rumours of the I1 being abandoned.

Hi Jamie,

I can see that now. Could you find out if it is a "temporary situation"? I have just looked on the UK site and the TB48 appears to have gone from there too.

You never know, that may be valid. Batteries that have to go through the whole 'hazardous material' process for delivery can get pretty tricky.

Thank you! Though, we shouldn't let my head get too big.

I should have something soon, though I did look around online and it seems like dealers in those regions do still have them available for purchase. If you're in the market for one ASAP, a dealer would be your best bet.

I just got one from D4L in New York shipped to the UK within a week. Easy transaction and helpful staff.

They still make them. The online store doesn't sell them because (I suspect) of hassles with Customs related to the > 100 W/h capacity. You can still purchase them through other channels

Yea I just got confirmation that it's due to these new regulations. Dealers would still get supply, so you shouldn't be out TB48s all together.

We can still get them in Alberta Canada,so far

A new note. If you order quads from offshore sites, the company needs to register with the courier company to ship lithium batteries. Apparently this 'licence' needs to be renewed periodically. I recently encountered a delayed shipment as a result of this regulatory change. The seller had to use another courier that their registration was still current with.

As Jamie suggested, good idea to check with a regional supplier..
