Hello,

I don't seem to have the ability to use the camera.  It's plugged into my iphone 6 or Ipad mini 2 and everything seems to work, the camera can be controlled but I get no video feed or ability to take pictures.  Everything seems up to date and power is ok.  
Does anyone have any clue what I can try?  I've reset camera settings.

Completely remove the App and reinstall.  Make sure that you don't have any any Apps running.  Turn on Airplane mode and have BT turned off.

Airplane mode I didn't know...I thought wifi had to be on.....I'll try and report back shortly.....Thank you for help.

So I've done as above... NO change.  Still no video.  I seem to be able to perform every other camera function.  It responds to everything.  It "snaps" photos and allows of pressing record for video but the result is black / nothing recorded.  

I also plugged in my Motorola Droid X with the latest version of the app and android O/S.  

Same result.  Seems to be all good but no video or sight from camera.

I removed the front cone and unplugged and plugged in the ribbon cable.  It flashed on video for a moment so it appears the ribbon cable is damaged inside.  It has a break in the wire.  I'm sure it'll be a month of 100 emails back and forth before I can get ahold of one.

DJI...there isn't a chance in hell I'm paying for shipping to send you my drone for it to be gone for a month for a part that costs a quarter.
  How do you suppose I get one of these cables DJI folk?  You seem to be a bit lacking in the parts department.  I can't find ANY parts for this thing anywhere.

I've come to the conclusion that it's the wire due to the fact that the app will say " no signal " at the top and will occasionally get signal for a moment.
I think it's due to a bent/crimped/faulty cable....it's just broken enough to slightly make connection once in awhile.

Have you tried to call the LA Service Center?  I would start there.  They got a load of parts for the Inspire.
