So I just updated my mavic's and RC's firmware today, done with the RC calibration, IMU and Compass calibration with no problem but just when I was trying to recalibrate the vision sensors via DJI Assistant, the finishing process stops at 85%. I turned off the mavic and restart the process but then it stops again at 85%, I waited for almost 15 minutes but nothing happens. Is there anyone else experience the same problem? Need help with this, thank you

Nope..nothing happened, i've waited long enough to see if the calibration calculation was completed but it still stuck at 85% .

Could you please try to change another computer then do the calibration again?
Besides, did you install the latest version of the DJI assistant?

Yes Mindy, I installed the latest DJI Assistant, the problem is still there...I want to try to roll back and reinstall previous version of DJI Assistant and see if that will solve the problem

Did you get it to complete ?
Can you delete and reinstall the Assistant2 ?
Also, did the app tell you the sensors needed to be calibrated ?
Did you try a different computer ?

I uninstalled the latest DJI assistant on my PC and reinstalled DJI Assistant 1.0.7 and the calibration works perfectly fine, done the process in less than a minute as always..maybe it's a small glitch or what I don't really know. The DJI app itself didn't say anything that i should recalibrate the Sensors, it's just that everytime I upgraded the firmware I always recalibrate everything from the start before I fly the drone just to make sure everything is OK. But anyway the problem is solved now, thank you Ken and Mindy for your assistant

With the technology in the Mavic, there is no calibration needed unless the app asks you to do it or there is unusual flight behavior.
And the latest is 1.0.8.
Glad you got it worked out.

Hi , I found the thread searching on google. I'm afraid I faced the same problem today. While I was flying I had a red message in GO app that downward vision sensors needed calibration and precision landing would not be available. I didn't want to push it too far so I went straight home to do the calibration. I downloaded the latest version of DJI Assistant 2 on windows and tried 2 times to calibrate with no luck. It stacked at 85%. The calibration never completed and I had to shutdown the mavic.

One odd thing, is that while I was searching the flight log I couldn't find the messages relevant to vision sensors calibration.

I am having the exact same issue - got a message to recalibrate using DJI Assist - did the recalibration - progress is stuck at 85% for 30+ minutes. I tried again multiple times with no luck. Any suggestions? Not sure why this thread says solved. Its still an issue.

I also had the same issue but finally got it to work. Was using Dji assistant 1.0.9 and Windows 10, USB 2.0 ports and it didn't work. Switched to another PC with Windows 7, also a 2.0 port and it worked. Could be a compatibility issue with Windows 10 if that's what you're using.
Didn't try with a Mac tho.

Hi all,
Almost crashed in Atti mode today due to mis-calibration. I am using Windows 10 and calibration hangs at 85%. Using Windows 7 is NOT an option!! DJI when are you going to fix this or should I just ask for a refund? Only got this drone a week ago and its ANNOYING!

Please provide me your Assistant version number, then check the lens as well to make sure it's clean. Also you can try to change another PC to have a try, if still the same case, then please help us export the log file, we'll get it analyzed by our engineers.
For windows PC, you can find the file here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\DJI Product\DJI Assistant 2_V1.0.4\Assistant/calibration_signal_log.txt
C:\Program Files (x86)\DJI Product\DJI Assistant 2_V1.0.4\Assistant\vision/cali_conf.txt

Maybe this is stupid, but the people that is having issues with Win 10, have you tried to run the Assistant in administrator mode? (Right click, run as administrator) Maybe the app needs extra permissions to perform this calibration and that's the whole issue.

Would you please describe it in detail about it does not work on Windows 10?
You cannot connect it to your aircraft properly or it is stuck at a certain percentage or there  are any other error message?

Hi Natalia,

I am having the same issue, Windows 10, tried both USB 2 and 3 but the calibration goes to 85% and doesn't move past it. I also tried running in admin mode with no success.

Please see the logs on google drive
Dji Mavic calibration logs

Is there any extra debug setting i could use whilst running the calibration to gather more logs?

Thanks

Colin.

I had the same problems with my vision sensors: I got the warning on DJI Go 4, I should calibrate the vision sensors... I started calibration on DJI Assisten 2 1.0.9 several times on different windows systems but every time it stucks on 85% for more than 1 hour!

SOLUTION: I deistalled the DJI Assisten 2 (1.0.9.) and installed the DJI Assistant 2 (1.0.6.) from: http://www.dji.com/de/mavic/info#downloads

After starting this version, connected my Mavic and run the calibration --> After 2 min calibration was successful !!!

Hope that helps other Mavic-Pilots with the same problem not to have the same trouble!

I am doing the calibration too and same as everybody, I'm getting stuck on 85%. I'm using Window7, USB 2 connection and the Assistant 2 v 1.0.9. Can't find an earlier version like some did. Now I'm kind of scared to fly since I know that it is not calibrated properly. Please help.

I Have the same problem, Win10, tried usb2.0 an 3.0, run as Admin, everything that I remember. Besides the the app Go4 don´t tell to calibrate, I want to after firmware upgrade.
The only difference from you is that in that part of calibration, the button don´t highlight to me and tell me to reboot the aircraft, what I do dozens of times. What shoul I do more?

You upgraded it successfully through Assistant 2, right?
Please try to change another cable and check the screen again, if still the same, please post a screenshot here, thanks.

Yes, upgraded the aircraft to the last firmware by the latest 1.0.9 dji assist2, I tried 2 cables, always the same result.

So is this problem sorted yet with Windows 10?

I had the same warning the other day about a downward vision sensor warning. Had no more warnings since though I'd rather calibrate to make sure.
