Hello! The camera of my Phantom 4 Pro is always looking to the left. How to align the camera? Gimbal calibration has not helped. Updating the firmware has not helped too. Please help me.

power on the controller and aircraft (be sure to remove gimbal cover), open the main menu (three little dots in upper right screen, scroll down to the camera icon and click auto calibrate gimbal. that should help.

That won't fix it. I have the same issue. Done calibration several times, tried the gimbal roll, but that just fixes horizon issues.

DJI, can you please advise how to fix this. There seems to be a lot of people on all different forums with the same issue.

Thanks.

Have you done the  first IMU calibration? That copter have travelled over the 4 Seas before It hit you.. first do all firmware uppdates, then calibrate the obsticale sensors with Assistant 2,  then Cool down the aircraft and calibrate the IMUs, last calibrate the compasses onboard.. check this video!

Hello,

First of all don't calibrate the IMU/Compass if the App does not ask you to & in the Sensors page all Sensors are showing green Bars.
Second, go in the Gimbal Settings and disable the Option that allows for Yaw Panning, after disabling that, do the Gimbal Auto Calibration.

Hello, this issue may occur if the gimbal is skewed due to shaking in transportation, and the rubber gimbal ring moves toward one side. To fix this issue, manually rotate the gimbal in the opposite direction of the tilt until it reaches its limit. Do this several times, and the gimbal should be centered.

This method of gently pressing the gimbal in the opposite direction (while the P4P was off) surprisingly worked out for me!  I gently presses (and somewhat jiggled) the gimbal all the way over to the right, and it seems to have corrected about a 2 degree left cant.  The gimbal now faces straight forward and it appears to stay that way, even after motion and restarting the aircraft.

Thanks Mindy - These seemed to fix the problem for me (and the problem was driving me nuts!). If the camera was slightly off-center like this, would that also cause light jello in the video?

Also, while this did seem to fix the off-centeredness, it seems to creep back after a a restart or another flight. I don't want to have to be manually pressing on the gimbal all the time. Is this problem permanently fixable?

Have you tried the gimbal calibration while the  AC is in this position

No, I've never heard of that one. I'll give it a try. What does this do?

Also, is there a photo somewhere online of what this mechanism looks like on the inside of the drone, specifically, the part that it causing things to go off-center?

I tried every possible option from every place on the internet - the recal with the drone on it's tail did the trick.  (#15)
100% fixed - Thank you

Ah excellent, glad I could help.

Now if it's straight, don't  keep going back and re calibrating it, probably best to leave it alone until it plays up again.

I think it has something to do with the black rubber O ring being displaced in a crash and the vertical AC position allows it to sit back in properly

Hie! My drone had crashed recently, I replaced the yaw motor as it was damaged. Everything else in the drone is totally fine , after i reassembled the drone and turned it on the gimbal was off centered and was facing towards my left hand side(while the drone is facing towards me).

I tired all the solutions from this forum but it didn't work.
What could it be? Is the new yaw motor defective or this issue is common after a repair?
Please see the images below.
Thanks!
