Ok I've had my P4 for a couple of months now and absolutely love it!  I had a P2V+ prior and kept losing visual on my phone / tablet after sometimes as low as 300M but the P4 is HEAPS better, I never lose visual on the phone or tablet, BUT I do lose connection a bit when she is sometimes only 6-700m away.  Now I know this is all down to where you are, what's around you and all the rest, and I have had a maximum of 2300M from me once, but the other day I flew her out to sea for a few pics back at the land and got about 1000M and started losing signal and she kept returning home.  Now between me and the P4 was NO possible interference.  No Wi-Fi signals, no power lines, nothing! ... and yet was losing signal after 1k which is miles off the 6.4k DJI say.  Ok, that's with optimum circumstances but they couldn't of been much better I wouldn't of thought!

Anyway, the point of the post is to see if anyone can tell me if these type of things are worth getting?  I've seen the copper half circle efforts too but not convinced they'll do much but these seem to have something a bit more and they reckon can extend range by up to 3 times!  I'd be happy with a steady 2500M to be honest, but just can't seem to get it with stock equipment! ...

A friend has purchased these below but has hit a power line with his P4 the day they arrived and bent the gimbal arm before he had a chance to use them so just want to see if anyone here knows the go ??

Ok went out for a fly after the post above and things seem to be getting worse so am now wondering if the units faulty ?!  I had 800m maximum and half the time it was losing signal while still in sight!! ... which is like a few hundred metres.   

The wind WAS strong where I was, but should that really drop the signal to hardly any range at all ?!

I would try the copper half circles first as there is no need to modify the controller.  Check YouTube videos on these as they seem to work.   

The copper parabolic range extenders do work, check my video,   It increases the reach with 50%.

When you are close to houses or trees the reach goes down of course.

Oh and to update, yes tried and tested.  Work 100% as can have it where I lose GPS lock if they're removed, and locks back after they're put back on.  Thumbsup from me! ...
