Check whether it's hitting the Ribbon cable.

How do you prevent that if it does?

This is part of the same issue myself and everyone else that posted about the camera gimbal is having. In your case, it might just be a software issue, but when my camera gimbal kept toggling up and down, it also gave that error message. Pretty sure we will find out its all part of the same issue.

How many times you have to calibrate it?

Thanks for the headsup!
I assume theres nothing to worry about then, damaging the gimbal.

Well, if it's hitting the Ribbon Cable, try to very gently push it aside so the Camera has free Movement.
If it does not, then don't worry the next Firmware update should take care of these Error Messages.

That is only a temporary fix if the ribbon is moving. This will continue to happen. Keep an eye on it. Mine was doing it and not hitting the ribbon cable.

You cannot push anything aside, the ribbon is aligned where its suppose to be.
When camera starts the dance cycle, it ends by dipping down, and continues til it hits the ribbon with the bottom of the lens.
Then it goes back to face forward, with a noticeable vibrating sound in the whole gimbal, before it slowly fades away after 5 secs or so...

I understand the problem he concerning, it is not really a problem like the ribbon cable hitting the gimbal. it is he set up the controller and mobile device before starting the aircraft. I believe most people wont see that error as they always start the drone first since the drone need to warm up. At start when the gimbal initiating, it will go up and down hence reach pitch end point. My p4p give the same warning when the gimbal initiating, I guess this is normal and nothing to worry about.

Oh alright, i misunderstood then, i thought it's hitting something (like the Ribbon some people mentioned).
It doesn't say this in the Manual last time i checked, but the gimbal actually moves 120°+ Because it has a 30° uptilt, + 90° downtilt & another 10-15° downtilt where it does this during the boot phase.

A mate of mine also has the P4P, he accidentaly started his on uneven ground, it couldn't finish the gimbal boot sequence and since then, his only solution is to downgrade to a previous firmware.

Yea, always TX first, then aircraft, otherwise it can get input from other sources and do all kinds of unwanted stuff, if you have bad luck
