New to dji products with my phantom 4 and was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to view anything of a higher resolution than 1080p on a tablet like nvidia shield k1 after transfering data from the phantoms sd card onto the tablet?  I heard that this tablet works good with the go app. Im not looking to shoot all my video in 4k but woud like to compare with all the other 1080p I have shot on other cams.

Not sure if in the tablet you will see lots of differences between the 1080p and the 4k video. The screen size is not big enough so that you will get a lot of improvement in image quality. Just remember that the 4k videos take a lot of space, so you will need a big enough internal/card memory available.

True especially on a 8 inch screen but my long term is to play the video from the tablet through an hdmi mini output to a 4k tv. Im just trying to find out if it is capable of doing the playback of 4k without any choppy video. My samsung tab 3 just freezes completely when i try even 2.3k playback

I have an HP envy laptop with an i7 processor, 16gb of RAM and a dedicated 2gb NVIDIA graphics card and that has a hard time trying to play 4k video, so I would guess no a tablet won't be able to. I could be wrong tho.

i'm going out in 2hrs to fly i will reply to your post p3s, p3p & p4 will try 4k on p4 .
i have 3 k1 tablets always rec 1960x1080 just easier to work with  i will try 4k on p4 and play on k1 tab. let you know!

Thanks for the test! I ordered one a few minutes ago.  If you dont mind me asking how does it work with the go app? I have only heard good things so far. Im curently using an air 2 but I like the fact that the k1 can output hdmi.

Really? I have an i5 processor with 24 gb of Ram and a 1 Gb grafics card and it runs smooth... maybe the Ram is the big difference since the imediate memory is used a lot in processing videos?

I have only tried playing it back in Adobe premiere so if it's not the RAM then could be Adobe. I will have to try media player r VLC player to

works good with goapp. i have not gone above 3.0 on app because i like google maps
