Hi

i have been reading alot of different posts from people trying to update their inspire to the same firmware version as the one released on dji.com thinking their firmware is old...


This is the correct firmware as of right now.





Can someone make this a sticky thread???

Does not look the same as yours
I downloaded the IOS from apple store.

So what is yr comment on this ?  Latest or not ?

im not sure i understand What do the IOS have to do with this?

as far as i can see you are a not on latest firmware?


The DJI Pilot app does not update your RC or Craft with new firmware!
my advise is that you download the firmware from dji.com. put the .bin in your root folder of your I1 and wait for magic to happen

I have also different values. Does it mean that I did not install newest firmware?
It says "Firmware is latest/ Normal"

Is there way to re-install firmware even if it that is not offered through APP?

you could try, putting the .bin firmware file in the root of your sd card, and plug it in camera, boot up your inspire 1 wait a few moments, if nothing happen power of your I1 and put sd card back in computer look at the new .txt file your aircraft have made to see what it says.

you are missing "camera" firmware in your original post.. i have both ios and android setups they both have different items shown under firmware

yes i am missing camera firmware on pictures

my battery firmware shows 3.00(yours is 3.03) and gimble 1.05(yours 1.13) i got  the latest firmware from dji site and followed the procedure...nada...any idea? still my app in BOTH android and ios says UPTODATE!

I am convinced this is a rushed beta product and we are the guinea PIGS:@
thank god i am within my 30 day return period with B&W Photo video from NEW york  :-)

That seems weird, maybe they have different versions for EU, US and China ? i dont know.. but i know that i have not seen anyone with higher versions than mine?! only same so maybe you should try and contact DJI support to see what they have to say about it

I am surprised DJI hasn't chimed in to set this straight. As well they should describe the actual process to the letter on the update procedure as there are several differing ideas with regard to this. I realize there is Chinese New Year and all BUT... according to them they have grown exponentially and now have offices all around the world, with over 2000 employees? Some of these employees are not Chinese and don't live in China. The least they can do is respond to these issues. The rest of the world could care less about Chinese New Year they want their $4000.00 beta copter non beta. So hopefully the rice wine will wear off within the next day or two and we will see some results!

I installed the latest firmware 1.2.1-2_en,  without incident. My only question is...
1) What new features does this firmware revision give us
2) What problems has it corrected?

Can someone please enlighten me, or send me a link to the answer?

loutmetzger:  all of the updates are listed in the release notes that come in the zip file for the new firmware.

Thanks for quick response.
I don't mean within the camera and then settings etc, I mean the app home page, the one with the pretty pictures as a background. We used to have a Map tab but now its gone and we have the director tab instead.....no maps anymore......???? or do we cache from with in the app now? I used to cache using the maps icon on the home page.

i don't have a breakdown of individual items????

Click Camera : Big window=Camera
                     Small window bottom left (P3) or bottom right (I1) is Maps.

So you click on small window Maps to bring Maps to big window and Camera to small window.
And yes, you cache maps from within the app.
Don't forget to activate Cache Map in the Background. (See General Settings.)

This is more user friendly.
