Just thought I would share for anyone interested.
I already have DJI CARE and think this service is exceptional.

I also wanted cover for theft or deep water loss. I shopped around and Alienz insurance here in Australia will allow you to add a drone to you contents as away from home extra cover.

$100 Aud excess, no limit on number of times.
Will not affect no claim bonus.

Just though I would share.

Sorry hard to cost as I added all my camera equipment as well.
They guaranteed a deep water/unrecoverable drone is okay.

Yes you are the better speller, I think all insurance companies are aliens however sry for the bad pun.

It is called nothing.
It is an add on to your Home/Contents policy

Sounds pretty good. I asked NRMA about coverage under our home and contents insurance, and they said it was covered, but with an excess of $1000 AUD

I was with RACQ, they wouldn't cover it at all so I switched.
It made me fly with a lot more peace of mind, could get a LITTLE closer

Just to bump an old thread.
So generally people suggest that contents insurance will cover, but check first ?

Hi, Just thought I would update everyone on this.

Allianz no longer offer drone cover with their portable contents insurance.  The representative told me they had recently made changes to their policy which stops this.

I have contact CommInsure and trove and they also do not cover drones. It seems as though most insurance companies don't cover them.
