Recently i made a trip to Sumatra, indonesia to visit family and to record a small home made doco about the pekanbaru death railway which was built during the war by pow's and locals and cost the lives of over 120,000 people. I had issues with my osmo at first but a clean up of the battery terminals got that going and it worked well from there, even in the hot humid jungle. I also used my dji phantom 3 std which worked awesome and in some cases i managed to push 1200m without signal loss most likely due to the lack of interference. Only my fear of losing it stopped me going further. I also used a small dashcam wich was ok for in the road stuff but thats about it.
What an amazing documentary about the building of this railway line.
My father was in this area from 1949 to 1951 as a soldier in the war of
independence from Indonesia. Beautiful drone images gave an good impression
that the railway is located and what needed to be worked incredibly hard
and under terrible conditions. Good work guys WOW!!
