Ive just upgraded the last firmware for DJI Ronin with successfull but after that briefcase mode is not working anymore?!?!
Could you tell me how do I fix it? What should I do?
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Just to clarify, have you tried resetting the Ronin to default? Just to clarify, what firmware versions are you on now?
And Ive decided to upgrade the latest firmware to: ( I DONT KNOW WHY I DO THAT :@ )
Ronin Assistant Software v2.4
Ronin Firmware IMU v3.1
Ronin Firmware GCU v1.3
Connected to MAC with USB cablo and update section and selected to upgrade first this : Ronin Firmware GCU v1.3
them same thing happened while upgrading IMU, but I waited like 35-40mins for not interrupting anyway..
I did not close the power of ronin, just close de Gimbal Assistant and Open it, it was upgraded. Then I selected the upgrade to Ronin Firmware IMU v3.1.
while upgrading those firmware, I waited to finish like 30-45 minutes for I didnt want to interrupt upgrade.
Blue link was gone, just waiting...
While checking the ronin with Gimbal Assistant 2.4 everything seems normal.. Values, Upgrades etc.
BUT : Briefcase mode is not working anymore. Even though balance is perfect. No vibration, no weird sound with silent mode off but not response at all.. Falling down.
Like this:

Ive tried to everything that I caught but it still does not work.
I downgraded to 1,4 from 1.8 from 2.4 but it still does not work. I tried to every combination with uninstall gimbal assistant & re-install gimbal assistant, downgrade from 2.4 to 1.4 etc. Upgrade from 1.8 to 2.4
Still briefcase mode is not working.. But I have noticed something I do whatever I do the Ronin Firmware GCU is always v1.3 with all updates. I can downgrade or upgrade Ronin Firmware IMU v3.1 but not Ronin Firmware GCU. It is always v1.3
Now: DJI Ronin connected to PC/windows and upgraded last firmware again with gimbal asistan 1.8. Ronin is:
Ronin Firmware IMU v3.0
Ronin Firmware GCU v1.3
but the briefcase mode still does not work, so please someone help me out!

the issue might be: CGU firmware is 1.3(latest firmware with Gimbal Assistant 2.4) and IMU: 3.0 (firmware with Gimbal Assistant 1.8) arghh I do not know..
Is there any program/firmware clean it up all firmware? Maybe get it back to first firmware with DJI RONIN CGU and IMU and then I am gonna install GA 1.8?
it was working a perfect with G.A 1.8 with GCU 1.0 and IMU 3.0
I have 3 latest Gimbal Assitant Program (1.4) (1.8) (2.4)
When I connect to Ronin via USB to PC... The CGU is 1.3 version all of them no updates.. but IMU is updatable, if I click..
when I opend G.A 2.4 I can upgrade the latest firmware CGU is already 1.3, IMU upgrade to 3.1.. Update is successful but briefcase is not working..
I can send a picture every single of them if you want..
My ronin-m is all upd to date and is working good, sad to hear you are having problems, have you tried to download the older android ronin assistant? That one you have is for ronin-mx maybe thats causing the error, did you updated the remote rc as well?

Thanks for replying.. Android ronin assistant mean? On phone right? I did but it didnt work as well.. I have never updated the remote rc and thumb control. But they are already working.. Everything is response my command like smoothtrack, remote control, thumb control and dji follow focus but Briefcase and underslug mode is not. :@
these sections are for Ronin-MX? First time that I have seen them.. And You have any idea about how to I downgrade CGU? its always 1.3 whatever I do.. But IMU is changeable with upgrade & downgrade

EDIT: It seem to work after restarting everything and killing the software.

The latest firmware has kinda issue like that but it works after the killing motor and re-open it. Right?
And if you have PC/win. I suggest to do it there too..
I had the same thing
Actually, I'm able to control my settings fine when the Ronin-M is connected to the computer. It's just the app that's buggy. Using the app on my iphone, none of the setting will "write" even after I switched off briefcase mode.
I am also stuck here with the loaders on the GCU and IMU reading 0.0, the firmware on the GCU is 1.4 and the IMU is 0.0. It fails any update on the IMU and asks for a power cycle.
