Hi everyone!
I found a solution to the problem.
Please follow the following steps, some steps may not be necessary however It resolved my issue so just do it.
*my issue being that 1. I couldn't log into the DJI assistant 2 on my Mac (password not recongised), and 2. my Mavic would flash yellow constantly and not connect to my remote controller.
STEPS
1. Insert factory micro sd card.
2. On the drone (same location as the sd slot) I placed it in RC mode. (not sure if that will make a difference)
3. I downloaded the DJIGO (NOT THE DJIGO4 - even though in the description it says its designed for Mavic) Just use the original app from the App Store or Android as it will detect it. (make sure you log into your account) once that is done, close the app.
4.Make sure the that the gimbal clamp is removed! (this is very important) secondly fold out your propellers (not sure if that will Make a difference)
5. Connect your mobile device to the remote controller, then power on, than power on the mavic. Open the app (it will connect everything now)
6. follow the prompts and it will allow you to update the firmware for the controller and the mavic.
PROBLEM SOLVED!
Btw I just purchased the Mavic yesterday. I tried a million things and this worked for me. I hope this helps others too.
P.S BE SURE TO PUT BACK TO WIFI WHEN READY TO FLY. Also it flashes yellow and gives a code 200 error, it means you need gps receiption. So move locations.
