I don't understand that if you know that cycling the s2 switch at least twice will initiate RTH you chose to not carry out this procedure, then post on the forum asking should you have done it!

Andy, make sure in the App settings you have it set to RTH on disconnect. It sounds like it is on hover instead. Also make sure the RTH height is high enough to clear trees and buildings on RTH.
