I was curious about this too.

Am I correct in stating that a Smart RTH will attempt to initiate a RTH the same as a Low Battery RTH? That is, it will tell you that it is going to RTH because of lack of battery power to make it to the RTH point.

You have two Smart Return Home settings in Dji Go 4 now.  One is in the "Sensors" menu and relates to object avoidance on RTH being activated.   The other Smart Return Home setting is located in the "Battery" menu and controls whether the drone will RTH when the battery level reaches a point the drone cannot Return Home because of available battery unless it goes back immediately.  The setting in the "Battery" menu is the one you should be catious of if your flying somewhere and you don't want the drone to go home on low battery level.  An example would be flying from a moving boat where the original launch area has been left far behind and you want to fly your full battery before landing on the boat.
